Commercial & Recreational Fishermen Rally in DC

On February 24, 4,000 recreational and commercial fishermen rallied in support of the the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Management Act, “while also calling for better science from the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS).”

Rep. Frank LoBiondo, the Cape May Republican who’s a cosponsor of [Frank] Pallone’s bill [HR1584], stirred the crowd up as he contended there are many complicated issues before Congress, but this one is “easy. This is about our right to fish. The bureaucrats have to get their heads out of wherever it is they are.”
