New Jersey's First Responders Stand with Frank

MAYS LANDING, N.J. – U.S. Congressman Frank LoBiondo (NJ-02) has received the endorsements of the state’s two largest firefighter organizations: the New Jersey State Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association (FMBA) and the Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey (PFANJ) for his reelection.

“Day in and day out, our firefighters and first responders put their lives in harm’s way. As the men and women of our fire companies are unwavering in their efforts to keep our communities safe, I remain steadfast in my support of those who wear the uniform and respond in the time of our greatest need,” said LoBiondo, a member of the Congressional Fire Caucus. “It is with great honor that I accept the endorsement of our volunteer and professional firefighters and I will continue to stand up for the resources they need and deserve.”

“These are difficult and trying times in America. The middle class, the very individuals who made this country what it is and who continue to make this country great, are being admonished and villainized. Your support of our issues and your hard work for your constituents is what sets you apart from other legislators. It is because of your record of accomplishment that we support your continued service to the State of New Jersey and the nation,” wrote Dominick Marino, President of the Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey, in the association’s endorsement letter.

The PFANJ represents professional firefighters, emergency medical and allied support services personnel affiliated with the 300,000 member International Association of Firefighters. There are more than 4,000 active and retired members in New Jersey.

“Your support of firefighters, EMTs and dispatchers across our state was paramount in making this decision. NJ First Responders are truly on the front lines of defense in protecting our citizens and visitors. Your commitment to keeping firefighters adequately staffed, equipped and safe is critical to our ability to protect and serve,” wrote Ed Donnelly, President of the New Jersey State Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association. “On behalf of our more than 5,000 active and retired members, it is my pleasure to inform you that you have received the unanimous endorsement of the NJ FMBA for your upcoming Congressional election.”
